Sunday School

We have two separate Sunday School programs. One is geared to the PreK thru Grade 5 group. The other is for Junior and Senior High Youth.

The PreK – Grade 5 group meets upstairs weekly at 9:30am. Parents are welcome to visit or stay with their child if necessary. We begin each week with music and prayer in a large group gathering. Then we break up by age groups for a lesson and workshop.

We have been using the Workshop Rotation Method for 3 years. It gives the children an opportunity to learn the Bible story of the month in a music lesson, art lesson, drama lesson, cooking lesson, or multi media lesson. You’ll be amazed at what we can accomplish in less than an hour!

St. John has held a Christmas Pageant every year. It is a fabulous tradition that all ages take part in. The Sunday School students will have opportunities throughout the year to engage in outreach and community service projects. Many of our youth have attended LCLC (Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center) for camp experiences that enrich their faith and renew their enthusiasm.

Sunday School is from 9:30 – 10:30am every week.
